Aluminum tubes

pressed according to EN 573 and EN 755

Aluminium tubes are mostly pressed hollow profiles with a round, square or rectangular cross-section.

Here, chamber pressing is the standard process in the aluminium industry for the production of extruded profiles. The producibility of tubes is limited to a certain number of alloys. Usually, the commercially available alloys EN AW-6060 or EN AW-6082 are selected for this purpose. However, other aluminium materials such as EN AW-2007 are also possible.

Chamber-pressed tubes are very often an alternative in terms of manufacturing effort in relation to the requirements. For small dimensions, a multiple chamber tool is very often used.

Specially designed extrusion dies can be used to produce pipes with larger outside diameters or even pipes with a larger ratio of outside diameter to wall thickness by extrusion alone.
